It is a lively dance similar to squae and contra dancing, but with more variety in figures and character of music. There may be sets of 2, 3 or 4 couples or long lines with the lead couple progressing up the line. The dance movement is a light walking step. The caller precedes each individual dance by teaching and walking through the dance patterns. Beginners are welcome and no partner is needed.
