Apply for Real Estate Tax Relief by October 31, 2024
Albemarle County is pleased to offer real estate tax relief for certain elderly and permanently disabled persons. We welcome your participation in this program, and we look forward to serving you. The deadline for first-time applicants is Thursday, October 31, 2024.
You may qualify if:
Applicant is the owner of record as of January 1, 2024 and
As of December 31, 2023, applicant is either (a) at least 65 years of age and/or (b) certified as totally and permanently disabled, and
Combined total income (from all sources) for 2023 is no more than $88,800 and
Combined total net worth of all owners and their spouses must not exceed $305,000 as of December 31, 2023.
