Join The Front Porch for a night of excellent music from Dallas Ugly and openers Matthew McAllister and Julia Kwolyk! Gearing up to record their second album, Nashville-based band Dallas Ugly, Eli Broxham, Libby Weitnauer, and Owen Burton, creates a dreamy garden of sound that critics describe as “full of shimmering magic.”
Opening for Dallas Ugly is the singer/songwriter duo, folk artist Matthew McAllister and violinist/singer Julia Kwolyk. The two apply a background of folk, rock, hymn, and orchestral music to their soulful songs. Julia and Matthew met 10 years ago busking on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall and have been writing and playing folk music together ever since. According to Cavalier Daily, this duo, “blends folk and rock influences beautifully.”
