To the Editor: Extending the Right Turn Lane at Crozet Ave and 250

Regarding the article in the July issue concerning improvements to the intersection of Crozet Ave and Rt. 250:

Widening of the right turn lane will do little to alleviate the traffic problem. When school is in session, cars approaching the intersection between 8 and 9 a.m. are often backed up ¼ to ½ mile on Crozet Avenue. When one finally gets to 250, you have to wait for cars from the east on and from Miller School Road. If you are lucky, a nice person will let you in. Even if you get a green light, there are often 10 or more cars in front of you.

A simple solution is better control of the stop light and perhaps a policeman to direct traffic.
