The League of Women Voters for the Charlottesville Area is holding a live, virtual Sunday Seminar entitled “How’s Our Water and Who’s Paying Attention To It?” on February 21, 2021, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
Water is vital to sustaining life on earth. As stewards of our environment, we are obligated to take care of this most precious resource to ensure a reliable supply for future generations. This seminar will feature some of the many local people, organizations, and government agencies hard at work to keep our water safe and sustainable. Discover the challenges facing our area’s water supply and the corrective actions being taken.
The public is invited to participate in this important discussion on local water protection efforts. To register for the free event, go to the League’s website at lwv-cva.org and follow the Sunday Seminar link for instructions. A Zoom link to join the seminar will be emailed prior to the event to those who register.
Founded in 1920, the League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization that works to increase understanding of major public policy issues and influences public policy through education and advocacy. We look forward to continuing our mission with this event.
