H.C. Edwards Chapter Ruffed Grouse Society 30th Annual Conservation & Sportsmen’s Banquet

The H.C. Edwards Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society, Staunton, VA, is holding their 30th annual Conservation & Sportsmen’s fund raising banquet on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Expoland, Fishersville, VA.
The evening’s event starts at 6:00 PM with a social hour, followed by dinner and live auction. There will also be numerous raffles and a silent auction for dozens of items.
Monies raised at this event will be used for creating, enhancing and promoting early successional and young forest habitat for ruffed grouse and American woodcock. In addition to our target species, this habitat will also greatly benefit such species as deer, bear, turkeys and over forty species of song birds that need early successional and young forests for survival.
The H.C. Edwards Chapter has annual work days where hundreds of apple trees and other fruit bearing shrubs have been planted and maintained to produce preferred food for wildlife.
Established at Monterey, Virginia in 1961, the Ruffed Grouse Society is the one North American wildlife conservation organization dedicated to promoting conditions suitable for ruffed grouse, American woodcock, and a whole suite of related wildlife to sustain our sport hunting tradition and outdoor heritage.
